National conference on ACT 2019

Sal Institute of Technology and Engineering Research has organized a national conference on Advances in Computer Technology (ACT) 2019.

The conference commenced with a very informative presentation given by Dr. D. A. Parikh on Cloud Computing with a quote “It is not the strongest, but the most adaptable that survives – Charles Darwin”. He explained basic concepts of cloud computing including architecture used in the computation and connection. It followed by a very interactive presentation from Dr. Sharnil Pandya on Internet of Things. He clarified the basic idea and talked about his invention. He created an application of connecting car with IOT. With that application he could control lights, AC, windows and could even start the car. Then there was a lunch break followed by technical session. In Technical session, researchers have presented their work on the conference tracks; Human Computer Interaction, Data Mining, Cloud and others, and Artificial Intelligence respectively.

The next day was followed by an informative speech by Dr. Dushyantsinh Rathod on Data Mining. He explained how prediction can be done on the basis of 2 existing data. It was followed by technical round 2 and 3, followed by lunch break. Last round commenced with speech by Dr. Amit Ganatra on Machine learning where he explained advances through machine learning and the overview of its concepts. Then the final technical session started and students gave their presentation.

It was a very informative and wonderful session put together by faculties of Computer Department, SALITER.
