Automobile Engineering
About Department
This department was established in 2009 to address the needs of automotive engineers in the transportation and automotive industries. A subfield of mechanical engineering is called automobile engineering. The course provides specialization in car design, maintenance, testing, and assembly through the use of automotive technology. Along with learning how to assemble and install different cars, this program also teaches safety engineering, quality management and control, and automotive analytics. The numerous subsystems or components that make up a motorized vehicle are also designed and tested by automotive engineering students.Additionally, the program provides a solid foundation in engineering ideas, enhancing career advancement options and work preparation. Since its inception, automobile engineering has held a prominent role, generating the most talented student resources to support the industry needs. Department focuses on the design of various types of ATV , their performance and safety in the different segments during the competitions.
Vision:
“The Department of Automobile Engineering aims to become a leading center of learning by providing excellent education, promoting research and innovation, helping industries through expert advice, and preparing skilled engineers who can contribute to the growth of the nation. We are dedicated to changing lives through quality education and research.”
Mission:
The department works towards:
The Department of Automobile Engineering is dedicated to delivering quality education aligned with global standards and industry needs.
To improve students' employability and entrepreneurship by developing their automotive technological abilities.
To help students develop moral principles and leadership skills in order to promote societal advancement.
Laboratories
Automobile labs are used for testing, research, and education. An Automobile Engineering Laboratory is a specialized facility in institutions or automotive R&D centers where students study and analyze the functioning, design, and performance of automotive systems and components. Engineers use laboratories as well to design, build, and test technological devices. We have equipment to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and emission controls.
We have the following laboratories which provide hands-on experience to students for scheduled academic work, research activities as well as project related work.
