Mechanical Engineering(Thermal Engineering)

About Department

This department was established in 2009 to address the needs of Mechanical engineers in the various Industries. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery.

Engineering requires an understanding of core concepts, including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. Mechanical engineers use core principles along with tools like computer-aided design, and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons etc..

The department has established a solid reputation over the years because of its excellent instruction and demanding hands-on training. Since its inception, Mechanical engineering has held a prominent role, generating the most talented student resources to support the modern industry needs.

Vision & Mission

Vision:

  • To become a prominent department producing competent professionals with research and innovation skills, and also provide students a wide global exposure by enhancing their skills like leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, etc., in this technological era.

Mission:

The department works towards:

  • To develop our students’ capacity for leadership and teamwork through a variety of curriculum-based projects and to fortify them with creative ideas.
  • Encouraging students with the skills and employability to take on the challenges in cutting-edge engineering sectors.
  • To empower our students with creative concepts and enhance their leadership and teamwork skills through different projects in their coursework.
  • Cultivating and improving students' technical abilities in aspects of design, production, manufacturing, and other key areas within the mechanical discipline.
