About Department
This department was established in 2009 to address the needs of Mechanical engineers in the various Industries. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery.
Engineering requires an understanding of core concepts, including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. Mechanical engineers use core principles along with tools like computer-aided design, and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons etc..
The department has established a solid reputation over the years because of its excellent instruction and demanding hands-on training. Since its inception, Mechanical engineering has held a prominent role, generating the most talented student resources to support the modern industry needs.

There are many well-equipped, state of the art laboratories to give hands-on experience to the students for extensive expertise in the various subjects of Mechanical Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering laboratory provides practical experience in various fields, including manufacturing, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Workshop Practice, Measurement, fluid mechanics, and Heat Transfer. It's a place where students apply theoretical knowledge learned in lectures to real-world scenarios. This lab environment allows for experimentation and practical understanding of concepts in their relevant subjects.

Veriton Racing Team of SAL Education has secured 1st rank in drag race and 1st rank in Solo dirt event during the Mega ATV Championship, ponda on 09/05/2025. Mega ATV Championship is national competition, teams over 100 participate in this competition. This competition is known for its night endurance
