About Department
The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning [CSE (AI-ML)] was established in the academic year 2023–2024 with an intake of 30 students. This department was established with the vision of fostering and enhancing both fundamental and advanced knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of AI and ML.
The curriculum is designed to be interdisciplinary, integrating core principles of computer science with mathematical foundations, AI techniques, machine learning methodologies, and statistical approaches. As a result, students enrolled in this specialized programme will be equipped to apply these combined skills for effective analysis and visualization in a wide range of real-world applications.

Het Prajapati, 4th Semester student of CSE (AI-ML), represented Gujarat Technological University (GTU) at the prestigious AIU Inter University West Zone Youth Festival held at Ganpat University from 4th to 8th January 2025. He participated in the Skit and Folk Orchestra events, winning 2nd place in Skit and 4th place in Folk Orchestra.
Het Prajapati, 4th Semester student of CSE (AI-ML), advanced to the AIU Inter University National Youth Festival hosted by Amity University, Noida (Delhi NCR). Competing against participants from over 100 universities across India, he once again performed in the Skit category and proudly secured the 1st prize at the national level. The event was held from 3rd to 7th March 2025.
Patel Hit Mukeshbhai, 3rd Semester student of CSE (AI-ML), participated in the prestigious World Robotics Competition ‘Technoxian’ along with their team and secured 2nd place in the Electric Robo Race competition.
Patel Hit Mukeshbhai, a 3rd semester CSE (AI-ML) student, participated in the Robotics Competition Prevoyance 2025 with his team, securing 3rd place in the RC Relay (Robo Race) event and 5th place in the Path Seeker (Fast Autonomous Line Follower Robot) event. The competition was organized from 2nd – 3rd August 2025.
Het Prajapati, a 4th Semester student of CSE (AI-ML), participated in Mimicry event of Kshitij InterZone Youthfestival 2025 and secured 1st prize. Total 900 students took part in this competition. He competed with 59 colleges of GTU. The event held from 06th to 09th October 2025
Hetvi Krupa Brambhatt, a 3rd semester student of CSE(AI-ML), has successfully completed the NPTEL course “The Joy of Computing Using Python” during July–October 2025.
