Master of Computer Applications Department of SAL Institute of Technology and Engineering Research organized a Seminar on Soft Skills for Semester–I students on 7th December, 2023 at SALITER.The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Khyati Rami, Head of the Department, and coordinated by Prof. Divya Bhope. 
The session was conducted by Dr. Roshani Rawal, who covered a range of essential topics related to communication and professional behaviour. The primary focus of the seminar was on Public Speaking, Extempore Skills, and Viva Interview Preparation. Dr. Rawal began with an insightful discussion on Body Language, explaining how posture, facial expressions, hand gestures, eye contact, and vocal tone play a crucial role in effective communication. She emphasized the importance of interpreting others’ body language to understand unspoken thoughts or emotions.Following the theoretical discussion, students participated in hands-on activities aimed at practicing the concepts taught. Dr. Rawal demonstrated proper handshake techniques, appropriate eye contact, and other essential non-verbal communication skills. The interactive nature of the session encouraged active participation and helped students gain practical confidence in applying soft skills in real-world scenarios.
